5. Mobile Application Permissions

The Unbox Tools mobile application requests the following Android permissions. All permissions are used solely for the features described below and are never used for advertising, profiling, or sale of data.

5.1 Notifications

Used to send you transactional and promotional push notifications such as new product launches, sale offers, order updates and important announcements. Notifications are delivered through Google Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM). You can disable notifications at any time from your phone’s Settings.

5.2 Internet & Network State

Required for the application to load website content and detect online/offline status.

5.3 Location

Requested only when a feature on the website requires it (for example, to suggest the nearest delivery area or auto-fill an address). Location data is sent only to UnboxTools.com servers for that feature; it is not stored beyond the session and is not shared with any advertising network.

5.4 Camera

Requested only when you choose to upload a document or image by taking a photo (e.g. uploading a GST certificate, identity proof, or product reference image). Captured images are stored temporarily on your device and uploaded to UnboxTools.com servers as part of the form you submit. The application never records or transmits camera data in the background.

5.5 Microphone

Requested only when you use a voice-input feature (for example, voice search inside the search bar). Audio is processed by Android’s standard voice-recognition system or the website’s search feature; the application never records audio in the background.

5.6 Storage / Media

Used only when you choose to upload a file (image, document, etc.) from your device’s gallery or files. The application accesses only the file you explicitly select through the system file picker.

5.7 Vibrate

Used to provide a short vibration alert when a push notification arrives.

6. Use & Disclosure of Information

We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information to third parties for marketing purposes.

Data shared with Google Firebase

The mobile application uses Google Firebase Cloud Messaging to deliver push notifications. To enable this, an anonymous device registration token is generated by Google and held on UnboxTools.com servers so that we can deliver notifications to your device. This token does not identify you personally. You can stop receiving notifications at any time by disabling notifications for the app in your phone’s Settings.

7. Data Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect personal information.
Access to personal data is limited to authorized personnel bound by confidentiality obligations.

However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure, and absolute security cannot be guaranteed.

8. Advertising & Analytics

Analytics tools such as Google Analytics may be used on the website
(UnboxTools.com) to understand website usage and improve services.

The mobile application does not use any third-party analytics or advertising SDKs. The only Google service integrated in the application is Firebase Cloud Messaging, used solely to deliver push notifications as described above.
